My arrival in Germany this year was literally a flying visit, as I stopped off here for a couple of hours before hopping onto a plane to the Far East. I learned a number of things; Frankfurt am Main airport is huge, its a long walk from the arrival to the departure terminal, you have to take the airport metro as well and you go through security and immigration checks all over again.
I would recommend a layover longer than 90 minutes if you fly through Frankfurt, as getting to my outbound flight was tight. On the plus side there were Lufthansa staff telling the transit passengers where to go (but very politely of course).

The only reason I was here of course, is that its less expensive to fly to South and East Asia from one of the European hubs (Amsterdam, Frankfurt or Paris), instead of flying direct from the UK. Kayak and skyscanner.net are great at finding cheap flight deals and I’d recommend both of the sites, they sometimes find one stop flights at a massive discount.
Hi! Thanks a lot for joining me!
